The Bozeman Icedogs of the NA3HL have announced Jeff Burton as Assistant Coach. Burton is an elite skills instructor and has trained players at the NHL, NWHL, Olympic, college, Tier 1 – USHL and Tier 2 – NAHL levels. His roles with the Icedogs will include bench coaching, skills training, tactical coaching, strength and conditioning, player identification and recruiting.
“Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our staff,” said GM/Head Coach Mike Perkins. “I’m most excited for the players who will receive high end coaching on a daily basis. His passion for the game and developing players is contagious. Jeff and I were teammates in college (NCAA D3 hockey and baseball) and there is no one I trust more than my teammates.”
Burton grew up playing youth hockey in Minneapolis eventually becoming a NCAA All-American at the College of St. Scholastica. Burton most recently was the Director of Hockey Operations at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND.
“Working with players who aspire to play college hockey is what I do,” said Burton. “I’m looking forward to getting on the ice with the players and growing their games. I’m really excited to get to Bozeman and to meet everyone.”
